Most infected – in Madrid
In Spain, more than 229 thousand people were infected with coronavirus, including 506 new cases detected in the last 24 hours. RBC-Ukraine reports this with reference to El País.
It is reported that the number of victims of the COVID-19 pandemic in Spain amounted to 217 people during the last day, more than 27.3 thousand people died.
“The highest number of infected people is found in Madrid (65.6 thousand people) and Catalonia (55.4 thousand). Many people are also infected in the Basque Country, Andalusia, Castilla y León, Castilla-La Mancha, Valencia” said the statement.
We add that the number of people in intensive care of the Spanish Ministry of Health has stopped being published.
143,374 people are known to have fully recovered.
Recall that in Spain 11 lawyers of more than 3 thousand people who lost relatives in COVID-19 appealed to the Supreme Court with a collective complaint to the government. The Spanish believe that the government put its interests above the citizens, because, despite the spread of the infection in the country, the protests continued in early March.
As reported by RBC-Ukraine, formerly WHO Director-General Tedros Adan Gebreisus said that today the world is struggling with a severe pandemic for 100 years. Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, the largest increase in life expectancy is reported to have been in low-income countries. Overall, according to WHO’s published statistics for 2020, there are positive trends in the world of healthcare around the world.
