On Thursday, December 10, a military parade began in Baku in honor of the end of hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh.

According to RBC, the parade takes place in Freedom Square in the city center. It is attended by the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, and the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who arrived in the country on December 9 on a two-day visit. More than 3,000 soldiers participate in the parade, up to 150 units of military equipment will be demonstrated. In addition, teams captured during the hostilities appeared in the plaza.

Let us remind you that on November 10 the Azerbaijan, Armenian and Russian agreements on the cessation of hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh began to operate.

According to the document, the parties to the conflict remain in their current positions, but most of Nagorno-Karabakh returns to Azerbaijan.

Later, Aliyev established a new holiday – Victory Day, to be celebrated annually on November 8 (since November 10 coincides with Mustafa Kemal Ataturk Memorial Day).
