Flights to Yerevan canceled due to war between Armenia and Azerbaijan
The Ukrainian airline SkyUp has announced the cancellation of the Kiev-Yerevan flights. Flights have been canceled due to the use of an air defense system near the Armenian capital.
This is indicated in the message from the airline.
“In such conditions, the airline cannot endanger the lives of passengers. SkyUp continued to operate Kiev-Yerevan flights as long as it was safe,” the statement said.
To date, the next flight to Armenia, scheduled for October 5, has been canceled. The airline intends to make the decision to operate other flights depending on the development of the situation.
Previously, Ukraine International Airlines canceled the fourth regular flight Kiev-Yerevan, scheduled for Monday, October 5. The flight was canceled after analyzing the feasibility of flights to the zone of the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict.
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said hostilities will stop after Armenian troops leave the occupied territories of Azerbaijan.
