Famous British actor David Prowse, who played Darth Vader in the original Star Wars cult trilogy, has died at the age of 85.
This was reported on Twitter by the acting agency Bowington Management.
“It is with great regret and heartbreaking sadness that we announce to millions of fans around the world that our client passed away at the age of 85,” the agency wrote.
It’s worth noting that Prowse was cast in the role of Vader due to his imposing physique, although the role was voiced by James Earl Jones.
But most of all, the powerlifter-turned-actor prided himself on his role in Green Cross Code. A role in promoting road safety in the UK earned him an MBE.

Let us remember that recently the great soccer player Diego Maradona died as a result of “acute lung edema caused by the exacerbation of chronic heart failure.”
