Belarusian activists arrived at the central square of Minsk on Friday night, August 28, and formed a chain of solidarity. This was reported by the Belarusian opposition Tut edition.
After some time, the square was surrounded by riot police, who did not respond to the activists’ requests to leave.
The security forces kept repeating over the loudspeaker: “Do not provoke active actions, do not force the use of physical force and special means.”
Later, the security forces still allowed the girls to leave the Plaza de la Independencia. The participants waved their hands and bouquets of flowers towards the riot police, shouting “Long live Belarus!”
