Ukroboronprom CEO Aivaras Abromavichus will soon leave his post. Sergey Tikhonov can replace him.

An informed source told RBC-Ukraine about this.

According to him, the main reason for the turnover is Ukroboronprom’s profitability and development strategy.

Note that Sergei Tikhonov was a deputy of the third convocation of the Verkhovna Rada. According to the registry of electronic declarations, he works in the Directorate of National Security and Defense of the Presidency.

Recall that at the end of August last year, Aivaras Abromavichus was appointed CEO of Ukroboronprom. This is his second entry into senior positions in Ukraine after he stepped down as Minister of Economy in April 2016 together with the government of Arseniy Yatsenyuk.

Furthermore, in September 2015, it became known that Lithuania would not deprive Abromavicius of his Lithuanian citizenship in connection with obtaining Ukrainian citizenship.

We add that Volodymyr Zelenskyy did not know about Aivaras Abromavichus’ dual citizenship prior to his appointment as director of Ukroboronprom.
