This was stated by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, reports his press service.
“A month ago, we thought that with 9.5 thousand cases per day, our medicine would stop – there would not be enough beds in hospitals and infectious disease doctors … today the Minister (of Health – Ed.) Stepanov is right that with 15 thousand we can introduce a blockade “, – he is stressed.
According to Zelensky, they are now trying to increase the number of doctors involved in treating COVID-19 patients by redesigning the departments of medical institutions and attracting interns and students.
We will remember, on the eve of the TV channel “1 + 1” published an excerpt from an interview with Volodymyr Zelensky, which said that a strict quarantine would not be introduced in Ukraine, despite the daily confirmation of 6-7 thousand patients with coronavirus.
A few days earlier, Zelenskiy had warned that Ukraine could return to strict quarantine with 9.5 thousand confirmed cases daily.
