Explosive device found in detained car – FSB
In Crimea, Russian security forces detained a citizen of the Russian Federation on suspicion of intelligence and subversive work in favor of Ukraine. He was detained for two months.
FSB agents detained a Russian citizen in Crimea, suspected of collecting information for Ukraine’s special services. At the same time, the men allegedly found an explosive device in the car, writes TASS in reference to the FSB’s Public Relations Center.
“In the course of the operational search measures carried out, the Federal Security Service has suppressed intelligence and subversive activities in the interest of the Ukrainian special services of the citizen of the Russian Federation VL Esipenko,” the press service said .
The DSP said that the citizen of the Russian Federation allegedly took photos and videos of the area, the life support facilities and the places of mass stay of people in Crimea. An improvised explosive device was found in the detainee’s vehicle.
“According to detainee Esipenko, he collected information in the interest of Ukraine’s special services on the instructions of a current reserve officer of the 8th department of the 5th department of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine, Colonel VAKravchuk, and, on his recommendation, he kept an improvised explosive device in a car to provide security, ”the FSB said.
A criminal case was started. The suspect was arrested for two months.
