The UN Secretary General, Antonio Guterres, has published a new report on the human rights situation in occupied Crimea. The report contains requirements for the Russian Federation.

This was stated by the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. Emine Dzhaparova on Twitter.

According to her, the new UN report contains specific requirements for the Russian Federation “without diplomatic euphemisms.” In particular, the organization demands an end to the detention, torture and forced resettlement of Crimean residents, guaranteeing freedom of expression and religion, and lifting the ban on Mejlis.

“Russia must provide education in the Ukrainian language, stop the call of Ukrainians to the RF Armed Forces, restore the property rights of people deprived of their title as a result of” nationalization. “All this will be part of the new Crimean resolution of the UN General Assembly, “stressed Dzhaparova.

We will recall, Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky promised at the end of 2020 to present a new resolution to the UN General Assembly on the human rights situation in Crimea.

We add that Ukraine’s representative to the UN Serhiy Kislitsa accused the Russian Federation of trying to expel the Ukrainian population from occupied Crimea.
