In Chabany, which are located near Kiev and belong to the Kiev-Svyatoshinsky district, an explosion rumbled on the night of September 15. This was reported on Tuesday, September 15 by the Kiev Operative.
Neighbors on social media report that they heard a cotton ball and then a powerful explosion in the Polevoy Street gas pipeline area. Furthermore, the explosion was heard in the nearby village of Kruglik.
“There was a loud applause, and then a very loud buzz, as if you were standing near a jet plane,” they write on social media.
At the same time, the press service of the Chabanovsky village council reported that the high-pressure gas pipeline (Urengoy-Pomary-Uzhgorod), which supplies gas to Europe and passes near the village, was depressurized.
“There has been a powerful release of gas into the environment,” says the message.
Law enforcement officers and the State Emergency Service went to the scene. According to the press service, experts have installed a plug at the scene of the explosion, the gas outlet has stopped.
“We ask you to remain calm, not to panic, if necessary, strictly follow the instructions of the representatives of the Ukrainian emergency services,” the message says.
