A new section on quarantine zones came into force

Restrictions begin to operate in new epidemic areas

Kiev fell into the orange zone, which implies the restriction of planned hospitalizations, public transport and catering establishments.

A new division into quarantine zones has entered into force in Ukraine due to the COVID-19 epidemic. This decision was made by the state commission for energy and fuel security and emergency situations on Monday, September 14.

Kiev was included in the “orange” zone, which provides: massive events with the participation of no more than 220 people (one person for every 10 square meters of building area) are allowed, with the exception of hotels, accommodation establishments, sanatoriums and camps for children who cannot work, group classes in universities – for a maximum of 20 people, planned hospitalizations are limited (with the exception of pregnant women, newborns, cancer patients), in gyms – no more than one person per 10 square meters; in transport: no more than 50% of the seats occupied.

At the same time, the following was attributed to the “red” zone:

  • the city of Chop, Transcarpathian region;

  • the cities of the Ivano-Frankivsk, Kolomyia, Kalush, Kosiv and Tysmenytsya districts of the Ivano-Frankivsk region;

  • Peremishlyansky and Pustomytovsky districts of the Lviv region;

  • the cities of Belyaevka, Izmail and the Bolgradsky district of the Odessa region;

  • the city of Dubno, Rivne region;

  • the cities of Ternopil, Berezhany and Chortkov, Berezhansky, Buchatsky, Gusyatinsky, Zalischitsky, Zbarazhsky, Monastyrsky, Terebovlyansky, Ternopil and Chertkovsky districts of the Ternopil region;

  • Velikoburluk district of the Kharkov region;

  • the town of Slavuta and the Volochissky district of the Khmelnytsky region;

  • the city of Kanev, Cherkasy region;

  • the city districts of Chernivtsi, Herceivsky, Kelmenetsky, Kitsmansky, Novoselitsky and Storozhinetsky of the Chernivtsi region.

  • the city districts of Nizhyn, Bobrovitsky and Nosovsky of the Chernigov region.

In the “orange” zone were:

  • the cities of Vinnitsa, Kazatin and the Vinnitsa region of the Vinnitsa region;

  • Kivertsovsky, Lutsky and Manevichsky districts of the Volyn region;

  • the cities of Berdichev and Korosten, Berdichevsky, Zhitomirsky, Korostensky, Luginsky, Ovruchsky and Popelnyansky districts of the Zhytomyr region;

  • the cities of the Uzhgorod and Mukachevo, Mukachevo, Rakhiv, Tyachev and Uzhgorod districts of the Transcarpathian region;

  • the city districts of Burshtyn, Bogorodchansky, Gorodenkovsky, Kola, Kolomyisky, Rogatinsky and Rozhnyatovsky of the Ivano-Frankivsk region;

  • the cities of the Irpen and Fastov, Kiev-Svyatoshinsky and Yagotynsky districts of the Kiev region;

  • the town of Smila, the Korsun-Shevchenkovskiy and Smelyanskiy districts of the Cherkasy region;

  • the city districts of Novodnestrovsk, Vizhnitsky, Glyboksky, Zastavnovsky, Putilsky, Sokiryansky and Khotinsky of the Chernivtsi region;

  • Boroznyansky, Kulikovsky and Nezhinsky districts of the Chernigov region;

  • the city of Kiev.

The day before it was reported that the quarantine cannot be weakened in Kiev and 19 regions. In Kiev, the incidence of coronavirus is 140 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, with an acceptable value of 40 cases.

NAS scientists also released the COVID forecast. Statistics from Ukraine continue to show an increase in the number of infected people at a roughly constant rate.
