The appointment of the first elections in the territorial communities united by the Central Electoral Commission of Ukraine is requested for October 25 to cancel the public organization “Association of Rural Chiefs, Villagers’ Deputies and Villagers” Salvation of the Village.

A lawsuit was filed with the Kiev District Administrative Court (OASK) demanding the cancellation of the appointment of the first elections in the United Territorial Communities (UTO) by October 25. On September 7, the court’s website reported on the matter.

“The public organization Association of Rural Chiefs of all Ukraine, deputies of village councils and villagers” Salvation of the Village “filed a claim against the Central Election Commission. The Court is requested to annul the resolution of the CEC No. 160 of August 8, 2020 “On the first elections of deputies of rural, settlement, municipalities of territorial communities and the corresponding hamlet, settlement, mayors of the city on October 25, 2020.” According to the plaintiff, the contested decision was adopted in violation of the provisions of the Electoral Code of Ukraine, “says the message.

The OASK said that “the court is deciding the question of the initiation of an administrative case.”

The first UTO elections will be held on October 25 in 24 regions of Ukraine.

Elections to all local governments in Ukraine are also scheduled for October 25.
