A large-scale accident in Kharkov will be investigated by the prosecution

The issue of the final qualification of the case and the report of suspicion to the perpetrator of the accident is being resolved.

In connection with a large-scale accident in Kharkov, the prosecutor’s office opened a procedure under Part 2 of art. 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of road safety regulations causing serious bodily injury). This was reported on Saturday, November 7, by the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office.

It is clarified that the driver is currently detained under art. 208 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of Ukraine.

“The issue of the final qualification and complaint of suspicions is being resolved. The issue of sending a petition to the court to choose a preventive measure is also being resolved,” the message says.

The driver was tested for the presence of alcohol or drugs in the blood, the results will be obtained in the near future. The necessary investigative actions are being carried out.

We will remember, in Kharkiv on Nauki Avenue, on Saturday, November 7, there was an accident in which three people were previously injured, including a nine-year-old boy. A 22-year-old Volkswagen driver struck pedestrians on the safety island.
