Among the games to reach the knockout stages of the Europa League with Belgian Brugge, Dynamo Kiev in round 15 of the Ukrainian Premier League played against Desna Chernihiv, who was unable to win in the first round.
The de jure match, although it was an invited match for the people of Kiev, was still de facto at home, because it was not only held in the capital at the Dynamo stadium named after Valery Lobanovsky, but also with the support of the local fans. .
After the fight with the Belgians, Mircea Lucescu made three changes to the team’s starting lineup: Karavaev, Shepelev and Rodríguez came out instead of Popov, Shaparenko and De Pena.
For Desna’s mentor Oleksandr Ryabokon, all the changes at the start were forced: Ogir and Kopoplya were disqualified, and Biloshevsky was unable to play under the terms of the lease with Dynamo. For this reason, from the first minutes of the game, Polegenko, Ermakov and Arveladze entered the field.
The first opportunity was created by Chernihiv. In the 15th minute of the game, Kalitvintsev darted down the right wing in the middle of the penalty area in Totovitskiy, but misplaced the ball with his head, and Gutsulyak from an acute angle was unable to finish off the scratch in the goal.
The Dynamo had a great opportunity to open the scoring in the second half of the first half, when Kendzer hit his head after a cross from a corner, but it turned out that the goalkeeper was up – Past reached the ball in the fall. The teams took a break with zero on the scoreboard.
And yet, Desna opened the scoring. At the start of the second half, Kalitvintsev hung well over Budkovsky’s head, who jumped over Zabarny and scored with his head under the crossbar. Buschan was powerless – 1: 0.
With Nikolay Shaparenko coming out as a substitute, Dynamo began creating more opportunities and putting pressure on their opponents. Desna played competently on defense, responding with counterattacks. In the 80th minute, Viktor Tsygankov fell into the opponent’s penalty area, but the referee did not award a penalty, but punished the Kiev winger for the simulation.
At the end of the match, the game was stopped because snowballs were flying over the field. This was the reaction of the fans to Bezborodko’s tough foul against Mikolenko. And four minutes later, when the game was resumed, Bezborodko himself, who entered as a substitute, dismissed Mikolenko and was sent off for the second yellow card. Denis spent only five minutes on the field.
Dynamo managed to take advantage of the numerical majority. Gitchenko played with his hand in the penalty area, and the referee, after observing the VAR, signaled the point. Viktor Tsyganov converted a penalty and tied the score for the match. The Dynamo have lost two points, but are still leading. Now the disadvantage over Shakhtar is only one point.
