Nissan will soon announce its departure from Europe, Reuters reports. In accordance with the new strategy of the Japanese brand, it will focus on priority markets, including the USA. USA, Japan and China. Nissan will also close 14 plants worldwide and reduce production volumes.

The automaker is preparing to announce a new three-year strategy on May 28. One of his priorities will be to strengthen the brand’s position in the North American market by updating the model line and expanding the dealer network. At the same time, the company intends to reduce competition and expand cooperation with the alliance partners: Renault and Mitsubishi.

Today, Nissan is represented in the European market by Qashqai, Juke, X-Trail and Micra compact cars, as well as GT-R and 370Z sports cars. In addition, the range includes Leaf electric vehicles and E-NV200. Over the past year, more than 394,000 new Nissan cars have been sold in Europe, 19.6% less than in 2018.
