The former Ukrainian prisoner in Russia, who was released in an exchange, Director Oleg Sentsov, reacted to a statement by Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky about the May 2 tragedy in Odessa.
Sentsov criticized Zelensky for claiming that it is not known who is to blame for the tragedy that occurred 6 years ago.
The director wrote about this on Facebook.
In his speech, the President noted that this day is important to understand the history of Ukraine, so we will remember it. However, in his publication he clarified that few people know who is really guilty of the tragedy.
Zelensky said on Facebook that “today in our society there are a series of painful questions that require honest answers” and one of them is “who is to blame for the May 2 tragedy.”
In response to a statement by the head of state, Oleg Sentsov said that after that Vladimir Zelensky may doubt who started the war in the Donbass.
“If the head of state needs to clarify who is to blame for the May 2 tragedy, then he will soon have doubts about who killed the Hundred Celestials and started the war in the Donbass,” he wrote.
Recall that six years ago there were tragic events in Odessa. Then 49 people burned in a fire in the Chamber of Unions. We talk about whether there is any change in this matter and what is happening to it now.
Strana previously wrote that the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry issued a statement on the anniversary of the tragic fire. In him, all responsibility for the tragedy lies with Russia.
