In Mali, during the anti-terrorist operation, a Ukrainian soldier from the French Foreign Legion was killed. RBC-Ukraine reports this with reference to the message from the military headquarters in Twitter.

Reportedly, on April 23, during an anti-terrorist operation, a military vehicle collided with a makeshift explosive device by terrorists. As a result of the explosion, several soldiers were injured, after which they were hospitalized.

On Friday May 1, Dmitry Martynyuk, born in 1991 from the city of Volochisk (Khmelnytsky region), died of injuries in a hospital. He joined the French Foreign Legion in 2015.

Recall that on May 1 there were no new cases of coronavirus infection in the ranks of the Armed Forces. At the same time, the Medical Forces Command confirmed the recovery of ten soldiers.

In addition, on April 30, two cases of coronavirus infection were confirmed in the Armed Forces. As of April 30, the total number of cases in the Ukrainian army exceeded 50.
