On Friday, May 1, the four-seater light-engined Grumman plane crashed in the Dnieper. On board were two people, both dead. It emerged that this is an experienced pilot instructor and his cadet.

According to information received from the Kharkov aeroclub community named after Grizodubova, on board were the Avia-Soyuz JSC FTO / TRTO Chief Flight Instructor Sergey Gorshenin and Cadet Pavel. The pilot was very experienced: he is the champion of Ukraine in aerobatics, as well as an examiner and theory teacher. He performed at the “Free Sky” air festival at the Mayskoye airfield. The cause of the disaster is still unknown, the informant reports, referring to the publication of the flying club.

The cadet’s friends also join the flying club’s condolences. One of them wrote on Facebook that the second dead man, Pavel Klemin, flew better than other students.

The crashed Grumman American AA-5 is also reported to be a light four-seater American. It was used not only in schools to train future pilots and private owners, but also for carriers operating on non-extensive air routes. After the fall, it caught fire: 8 rescue teams and 2 teams participated in the extinction of the aircraft.
