It is observed that the dam broke early in the morning, at first it began to flood the village, which the locals call “1A state farm”. As a result, the houses that were one kilometer from the reservoir were underwater. At the moment, two towns are completely flooded.

According to the Uzbekistan Ministry of Emergency Situations, water flooded the town of Kurgantepa in the Sardoba region. About 11.5 thousand residents of the Kurghantepa, Dustlik and Yurtdosh settlements were evacuated to the Mirzaabad district. The country’s president and prime minister went on the scene.

Recall that in October of last year, in the Krasnoyarsk territory of the Russian Federation, the dam of the technological reservoir broke through, water was poured into the village of shift workers. Killed 17 people.
