The deputy prime minister and minister for the reintegration of the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, Oleksiy Reznikov, believes that there are two “keys” to peace in Donbass.
In 2021, the changes that will lead to the unemployment of Donbass may begin. The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for the Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine, Oleksiy Reznikov, expressed this opinion to the Dom TV channel in an interview published on April 3.
“I think there will be some very serious tectonic shifts in Russia this year. I mean it. News.” [Первый ключ] – with us, of course. There are two keys. Therefore, to open the cabinet and take out the “peace treaty” document, actions are needed from both Russians and ours, “said the deputy prime minister.
He stressed that his “deep feeling, not conviction” is about future tectonic shifts in Russia.
“And this will initiate changes. But the complete reintegration itself, the restoration of everything, everything will take decades. I have always said about this: 25 years at least for a complete reintegration. But do not confuse unemployment with reintegration. Reintegration presupposes a return Mental health of people. Reintegration presupposes demining. Territories, and these are decades. The economy must be restored: build new factories, new schools, new thermal power plants there. And many other things. It will take decades. ” Reznikov explained.
He noted that after vacating Donbass, he will visit the first Gorlovka in the Donetsk region and then Lugansk.
In 2014, Russia occupied Crimea and launched an armed aggression in eastern Ukraine. The fighting is between the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on the one hand, and the Russian army and the Russian-backed militants who control parts of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions, on the other. Officially, the Russian Federation does not recognize its invasion of Ukraine, despite the facts and evidence presented by Ukraine.
Negotiations on the resolution of the conflict in Donbass are taking place in the trilateral contact group in Minsk (Ukraine, Russia, OSCE), as well as in the Normandy format, with the participation of representatives of Ukraine, France, Germany and Russia.
