The Canadian government has advised local airlines to be especially careful when flying over Ukraine. This decision is explained by the “unstable security situation” in our country. In particular, this may be due to the attachment of arms by Russia to the border with Ukraine.

This was stated in the message from the Canadian Ministry of Transportation, published on March 31 on the official website of the department.

In particular, airlines were advised to be careful in the airspace of Kiev, Odessa and Lvov, and also not to land planes in Dnieper and Simferopol.

“Potential risk of increased military activity and special anti-aircraft weapons in the Crimean peninsula, as well as the threat associated with miscalculations and misunderstandings,” the ministry warned.

We will recall, Russian military expert Pavel Felgenhauer said that hostilities in eastern Ukraine could escalate within a month.

  • The Kremlin said that the movement of Russian troops and the accumulation of forces along the border with Ukraine should not disturb or threaten other states.

  • The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported that the Russian Federation is completing the preparation of a set of measures, the purpose of which is “to induce our state to a military response to the hostile actions of the occupiers” in the Donbas. .

  • Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reacted to the accumulation of Russian troops in occupied Crimea and near the border with Ukraine. According to him, in this way the aggressor country is trying to create a feeling of threat and “flexes its muscles.”
