The Kiev city prosecutor’s office reported the arrest of three suspects in the murder of an activist, whose body was found in an abandoned ditch in the Kiev region. This was reported by the press service of the Prosecutor’s Office on the night of Sunday to Monday, March 29.

“According to the investigation materials, late on the night of March 24, 2021, these persons, being in the apartment of a 37-year-old victim in Pechersk, held him against his will for approximately one hour and beat parts of the body. in an unknown direction “, – said the prosecutor’s office.

It is noted that his relatives announced the disappearance of the activist. Investigators learned of the missing person’s conflict with unknown persons, who were soon identified and detained.

“In the course of the investigative actions, it turned out that the attackers killed the abducted man and hid his body in an abandoned ditch in the Kiev region. <...> The experts establish the cause of death and the mechanism of the injury, ”the press service reported.

Three arrested criminals involved in the kidnapping and murder of a public activist and volunteer were reported on suspicion under clause 12, part 2 of article 115, part 3 of article 146 of the Penal Code. The question of the choice of incontestable preventive measures in the form of detention is being resolved.
