Investigators from the international organization Bellingcat have identified three key war criminals with Russian citizenship who are involved in torture at the DPR militant-controlled Izolyatsia Prison in Donetsk.
This was announced on Facebook by the Ukrainian journalist Stanislav Aseev, who survived the capture of the terrorists.

What is “isolation”?
- “Isolation” is a notorious secret prison of the ORDO militants, subordinate to the so-called “Ministry of State Security of the DPR”. It was formed in June 2014 on the basis of the Izolyatsia art fund seized by the militants and equipped on the territory of a former factory.
- Little is known about isolation. According to media reports, their prisoners can remain there for years without trial or investigation. Torture is practiced against detainees. At the same time, a significant proportion of those arrested are citizens of the Russian Federation and former DPR militants.
- Stanislav Aseev was released from the militants’ captivity in December 2019, as part of an exchange.
