Maxim Stepanov, head of the Ukrainian Ministry of Health, said he learned that some Ukrainian doctors in various hospitals do not receive co-payments. According to him, a follow-up is now being carried out to determine whether such cases are true.

He said this on Thursday, March 25, on the air of the television channel Ukraine 24, about which he wrote on his Facebook page. (scroll to the bottom to see the video).

“But the salaries that medical workers have is a shame for the state, it pays medical workers for being in terrible stress every day,” said the head of the Ministry of Health.

Stepanov said that he controls the work of the National Health Service, which transfers funds and promised to respond harshly to cases of non-payment of money to doctors.

“I appeal to all doctors and medical workers: if there are no additional payments, please call the contact center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine on 0 800 60 20 19. We will register this as an official complaint and we will definitely check the status of payments” wrote the minister.

As OBOZREVATEL reported, for three months now, doctors in Ukraine have run out of subsidies and work for meager wages. Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 610, according to which all medical workers received additional payments of 1,000 to 4,000 hryvnia, ceased to be effective on December 31.
