Kiev’s actions go against freedom of expression, said Zakharova

The Russian Foreign Ministry announced the violation of freedom of expression by Ukraine’s sanctions against the Russian media. The introduction of restrictions on Friday, March 26, commented the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Maria Zakharova, reports TASS.
“The restrictive measures include the blocking of assets, the restriction or termination of the provision of telecommunications services, the use of public telecommunications networks and the prohibition of Internet service providers from providing services to users to access these We consider that these measures go against the fundamental principles of guaranteeing freedom of expression and pluralism of opinions, as well as not being in line with the spirit of the European Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms ” Zakharova said.
He called on the relevant international organizations to respond to Ukraine’s new sanctions against the Russian Federation.
We will recall that this week Ukraine imposed sanctions on some 30 citizens of the Russian Federation, as well as more than 80 law firms, including a couple of dozen information sites.
