Kiev Mayor Vitali Klitschko said the capital could receive a coronavirus vaccine in the coming weeks. He noted that he personally negotiates with drug manufacturers.

He stated it on the air of “Savik Shuster’s Free Speech”. The show aired on the Shuster online YouTube channel on Friday, March 19. (scroll to the bottom to see the video).

“Until the moment the contract is signed, there is no need to announce it, but I am sure that in the coming weeks the city of Kiev will be able to receive the vaccine,” the mayor said.

Klitschko plans to buy a vaccine for Kiev at the expense of the local budget. He recalled that 140 million UAH had been allocated for this.

We will recall, in Europe, it was recognized that the number of available doses of coronavirus vaccines will not be enough to prevent the third wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.

As OBOZREVATEL reported, the Verkhovna Rada adopted bill No. 5247, which was released from responsibility for the negative consequences of vaccination of the manufacturers of vaccines against COVID-19, as well as the doctors involved.
