The British mutation of the coronavirus was identified in Kiev, Dnipro, Lvov and Kharkov, in connection with which Ukraine will face a “tense situation”.

The British strain of coronavirus was confirmed in Kiev and at three regional centers. On Friday, March 19, the head of the Ministry of Health, Maxim Stepanov, reported on this on the air of Savik Shuster’s Freedom of expression program.

“In addition to the record in the Ivano-Frankivsk region, data from the Institute of Epidemiology came today, it was found (a new strain) in the city of Kiev, Dnieper, Lvov and Kharkov,” Stepanov said.

He also recalled that this strain of coronavirus is three times more infectious than others, so Ukraine will face a “tense situation” regarding the incidence of COVID-19.
