In Khimki, Russia’s Moscow region, on March 19, an explosion rumbled in an apartment building, previously due to domestic gas. As a result of the fire in the apartments, two men and two boys were killed and four more residents were injured.

It is noted that the fatal incident occurred in a nine-story building, two apartments caught fire due to the explosion, and the interior ceilings partially collapsed.
The fire was quickly extinguished. It was immediately known of the death of a man and two children, but during a rescue operation, the body of another resident was found under the rubble.
Specialists from the region’s Ministry of Energy temporarily closed the gas supply systems of 36 apartments.
The evacuees were housed in local school # 16. At the same time, an operations headquarters were deployed near the house in Khimki after the blast.
Citing emergency services sources, the publication writes that the gas equipment in this house was literally checked in February. On March 19, the city prosecutor, Denis Andreev, went to the scene of the emergency, his department began an inspection.
