Students who have been exempt from the GIA will have the entry “exempt” on their educational credentials.
The Ministry of Education and Science exempted students in grades 4 and 9 from passing the final state certification (GIA) in 2021. They took that step due to the coronavirus pandemic. This was reported on the agency’s website on Wednesday, March 17.
The corresponding order of the Ministry of Education and Science of March 3, No. 273, was registered in the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine on March 16 under No. 338/35960.
“The decision was made in connection with the establishment of an emergency regime for the unified state civil protection system throughout Ukraine in accordance with paragraph 1 of the order of the Cabinet of Ministers dated March 25, 2020 No. 338- r On the transfer of the unified state civil protection system to an emergency mode “, – says the message.
As explained in the Ministry of Education, in the document on the education of students exempt from the GIA, the entry “released” will be made.
“Such a decision will contribute to the orderly completion of the school year for students completing primary and general basic secondary education, in the context of the spread of COVID-19 on the territory of Ukraine,” the department explained.
This decision of the Ministry of Education will enter into force on the day of its publication in the Official Gazette of Ukraine.
