Ukrainians in 2021 must pay taxes on their apartments and cars. This will affect those who live in large real estate or use an expensive car.
This is stated in the OBOZREVATEL material. Those who do not pay the budget face fines and even property seizure.
Who must pay the tax on the apartment?
Part of the Ukrainians Until July 1, you will receive a receipt at the place of registration of the need to pay property tax. You have to pay for apartments with an area of more than 60 square meters and houses with an area of 120 square meters or more.
This provided that a family member owns more than the specified area. The amount of the tax is up to 1.5% of the minimum wage for the last year for each box “above” the norm. For example, if an apartment is 80 square meters, you will have to pay up to 1,416 UAH (70.8 UAH for each “extra” square).
Who must pay the car tax?
Ukrainians who own cars worth more than 2.2 million UAH and are not older than five years must pay 25,000 UAH in taxes. This is given 60 days from the date of receipt of the receipt.
As indicated in art. 267 of the Tax Code, the receipt will arrive at the place of registration. If you don’t pay within 60 days, the tax will increase. So, the payment in the first 90 days, plus 10% of the fine, after the 90 days, 20%. Also, a car or other property can be impounded (a so-called tax lien).
You can use the car as a pledge, but you will not be able to sell or donate it. In addition, the tax authorities have the right to take the car, sell it, receive payment of the amount received, and return the change to the former owner of the car. It is true that such a situation is very rare. Debtors often pay the bills immediately after the tax lien.
We will remember, previously OBOZREVATEL wrote how the property tax will increase in 2021.
Individual entrepreneurs who have already retired due to old age can no longer pay the Unified Social Contribution (ERU) by themselves.
