In annexed Crimea, they named the cost of the first desalination station, which is planned to be located in Yalta. It will be built for 3 billion Russian rubles (almost $ 41 million – ed.). These data were announced by the so-called Crimean chief Sergey Aksenov, reports RIA Novosti on Saturday, March 13.
“I am sure that only desalination will give a guaranteed result. A feasibility study for the Yalta site is being prepared, the approximate amount of funds is about 3 billion rubles, there are sources of funding. In principle, the work it has already started, “Aksenov said during the briefing.
He added that the technical parameters of the facility and the manufacturer were not named due to the sanctions regime.
Earlier, Aksenov said that the contractor is ready to start building desalination plants in Crimea to solve the problem of water shortages. He said the first desalination plants will be located in the Saki region’s Frunze settlement for supplying water to Simferopol and in the Yalta region.
