UAF explained why Olympic was banned from playing at Dynamo Stadium

The Ukrainian Football Association explained that it had banned Olimpik from playing at the Dynamo stadium named after Lobanovskiy not because of the foul language that club president Vladislav Gelzin allowed himself after the match with Shakhtar.

“I would like to explain to the entire football community that the FTC made its decision yesterday and not on the comments of the president of Olimpik, since this case is now in the ethics and fair play committee. The FTC considered the safety issue in the Olimpik – Shakhtar match at Dynamo Stadium named after Valeriy Lobanovskiy. Olimpik, as the host club, had to ensure compliance with certain UPL and UAF regulations ”.

“We discovered that during the match the inability to access the referee rooms was not properly ensured. As a result, the reason for this was the unauthorized appearance during the game break in the referee room of the Olimpik president. There was also an attempt to enter the referee room after the match. “They also warned Olympic that should such a situation recur, a sanction could be applied in the form of removal of points. The FTC has banned Olimpik from playing at Dynamo Stadium until the end of this season. As for the holding of other teams’ matches at this stadium, this issue will be decided by the UAF stadium and competition safety committee, ”said Grishchenko.
