Kiev authorities asked to shorten working hours due to bad weather

Due to high winds and low temperatures, traffic jams can form on the roads, the mayor’s office fears.

The Kiev authorities have asked employers to declare a short working day, as a sharp deterioration of the weather conditions in the capital is expected. Klitschko wrote about this on Telegram on Friday, March 12.

“I appeal to the heads of companies and organizations. If possible, make a short work day for employees today,” Klitschko said.

According to the mayor, this is necessary so that there are no major traffic jams on the roads and to dissipate in time the burden of public transport in the capital, which can be interrupted by bad weather.

In turn, Kyiv residents who did not urgently need to go to the city were asked to stay home.

Let us remember that earlier the largest flag of Ukraine was lowered again. In March, warming will alternate with frosts. Also, the first month of spring will be quite generous in rainfall.
