In Kiev, during the last day, 896 new cases of COVID-19 coronavirus infection were detected. At the same time, 2,548 patients with the infection are in hospitals, which is a record since the start of the pandemic. These data were published by the mayor of Kiev, Vitali Klitschko, on Friday, March 12.

Among the new patients, 505 women from 18 to 99 years old and 22 girls from 2 to 17 years old, as well as 350 men from 18 to 89 years old and 19 boys from 4 to 17 years old. 21 doctors became ill. 129 people were admitted to hospitals.

Most cases of the disease were found in Desnyanskiy (188), Pecherskiy (94) and Darnitskiy (91) districts.

In total, 144,910 cases of coronavirus were recorded in the capital during the pandemic period, 2857 people died (+23 per day).

In total, 97,648 residents of Kiev have overcome the coronavirus, of which 428 during the last day.

“Today, hospitals in the capital have the highest number of coronavirus patients since the beginning of the pandemic. Especially those who are in serious condition and need oxygen,” Klitschko said.

Thus, in the hospitals of the medical institutions of the capital, today 2,548 patients are treated with COVID. Of these, 14 are children. 1 689 patients are in serious condition. 1,978 people receive oxygen support. Insufficient ventilators: 38 patients.

Recall that in the last 24 hours, almost 13 thousand new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Ukraine. 230 patients died and 4,630 Ukrainians overcame the infection.
