In the Polish city of Lodz, border guard agents detained three Ukrainians for falsifying documents and facilitating the stay of more than 1,000 foreign citizens in the country, reports the press center of the Polish State Border Service.
The detainees were dedicated to circumventing Polish laws, providing and facilitating the stay of foreigners in the country. In addition, the Ukrainians forged documents.
“They facilitated the stay of more than a thousand foreigners in Poland,” says the message.
The suspects were searched, during which evidence of their illegal activities was found: electronic devices, permits and statements issued to foreigners, correspondence with provincial offices, payment cards, forged medical certificates, SIM cards, fake Polish residence cards, etc. .
“In relation to the detainees, the Poddembice district prosecutor’s office decided to apply preventive measures in the form of a ban on leaving the country in combination with passport retention and compulsory attendance at the police station,” the department stressed.
The press service also added that one of the detainees may be banned from entering the territory of the Republic of Poland and the Schengen countries for a period of 5 years.
It was previously known that smuggled amber from Ukraine had been found in Poland. At the Medyka border crossing, law enforcement officers prevented the smuggling of about 30 kg of amber.
