In the middle of this week, the Kovalevites had a National Cup match against the Dynamo, which ended in a regrettable loss on a penalty shoot-out. Ruslan Kostyshin decided to shake up the team after such a result, half changing the starting lineup compared to the last game. Sergey Lavrinenko had no need for rotation: the “Ingulets” had already been eliminated from the Cup for a long time, so they can concentrate on the fight for survival. But at the end of the transfer window, Petrovsky’s team increased in numbers, so the coaching staff included the quartet of newcomers in the application for the game. At the base, however, only the central Ben Salem arrived. And it is worth saying that he left an excellent impression: the Tunisian did not lose a single fight, he read the game well and took the correct position.

You can also talk about the heavily matted lawn of the stadium in Kropyvnytskyi, in which in some regional centers it is not always allowed to hold city championship matches. The field crushed the ball, it was problematic to handle it, which caused a deterioration in the quality of the football, which was not of a very high level anyway.

Well, we can talk more about “Ingulets”. The games of Petrovsky residents are unlikely to bring such aesthetic pleasure. And the problem here is not with the head coach, for example, but with the fact that the team still has players at the level of the First League. And fighting for something higher than survival, as we can see, does not work.

And we can also talk about the incredible “Kolos”. Why are Ruslan Kostyshin’s sentinels just killed and show very high quality football against Dynamo or Shakhtar, Zorya or Desna, but against outsiders it all becomes a kind of vatokatka? Kovalevtsy doesn’t know how to play number one, he proves it today. The Kovalevites show a high quality game and, most importantly, disciplined, but in the encounters with more modest opponents, everything falls apart. Without motivation? Or is this the actual level?

But you probably went to this report to read about the “Ingulets” – “Kolos” party. And the party, in fact, featured no special events to speculate on. There were attempts by the two teams to tie at least three passes, after which they broke and switched to vertical soccer, forward kicks, flank serves, vertical play. In the first half, our eyes were closed. By some kind of acuity, we can only remember the canopies of Sichinava and Kovalenko, both of which missed the target.

“Kolos”, a European competition contender, by the way, fired his first shot on goal fifteen minutes before the final whistle: Orekhovsky decided to shoot from an acute-angled penalty, but the Kid was ready.

Perhaps the most curious episode of the match occurred a little earlier: after a corner kick, Milko prepared to close the ball in the goalkeeper’s room, but Zaporozhets literally shed the shell of his feet.

The “Ingulets” did not have those opportunities ahead. More precisely, there was one: after filming at the far post, Kozak could not calculate the trajectory of the ball and, instead of heading, decided to mark with his hand. It didn’t work, and the referee showed the yellow midfielder.

In the final minutes, when it became clear that scoring was impossible from today’s match, Ilyin set out in search of the golden grail, starting to draw a penalty in the Ingulets penalty area. The referee ignored the first attempt, but for the second fall of the player of Kolos the one of 11 meters was marked. Orihovsky was in charge of defeating him, but lost the duel with the goalkeeper. And there would be Seleznev …
