Donetsk region was left without heating due to debts

Naftogaz cut off gas supply to Donetskteplokommunenergo due to debts. The whole region was without heat.

NAK Naftogaz of Ukraine stopped supplying OKP Donetskteplokommunenergo with natural gas due to debts. As a result, the region has been without heating since Saturday, March 6, the Donetskoblgaz press service reported.

“Donetskteplokommunenergo, as a supplier of heat for the Donetsk region, was left without a supplier of natural gas due to debts with JSC NAK Naftogaz of Ukraine. Therefore, according to the legislation of PJSC Donetskoblgaz on Saturday (06.03.2021 ) is obliged to stop the gas supply to the OKP Donetskteplokommunenergo facilities, “says the message. …

Donetskoblgaz also noted that the actions of Donetskteplokommunenergo and Naftogaz force them to act in accordance with the law to prevent the state from inflicting daily losses from unauthorized gas consumption worth 150 million UAH per month.

As a reminder, in February, Naftogaz dramatically increased gas prices for thermal workers. At the same time, Naftogaz noted that the memorandum signed before this on the reduction of heating and hot water tariffs provides for the provision of heating workers with a delay until September 30 of the payment of the difference between the market and the real prices of gas.
