In two months of vaccination against the coronavirus in Austria, 41 people have died after being vaccinated with Pfizer / BioNTech. This was announced on Tuesday, March 2, on the website of the country’s Federal Office for Health Security.
“41 deaths close to the COVID-19 vaccine (all Pfizer-BioNTech) have been reported to the Federal Office of Health Safety,” said the vaccination report for the period from December 27, 2020 to February 26, 2021 .
The report’s authors emphasized that the relationship between deaths of patients with the vaccine has not been established.
“In three patients, as a result of the autopsy report, a link to the vaccine was ruled out, in 11 – vaccination decreased during the incubation period of the COVID-19 disease, during which the patients died. Another 19 people previously they had serious illnesses, presumably causing death. Eight other cases are still being clarified or it was not possible to obtain additional information, “the ministry said.
It is noted that a total of 6676 reports of probable vaccine side effects were recorded, most after an injection with AstraZeneca. At the same time, according to the report, the AstraZeneca vaccine works better than the Pfizer / BioNTech or Moderna vaccines.
