Rescuers helped hundreds of tourists in the mountains
In 2021, 360 people were rescued in the mountains; the search for a tourist from Kiev takes two weeks.
Since the beginning of 2021 alone, 360 people have been rescued in the Carpathians and more than 220 citizens have been assisted, the press service of the State Emergency Service reported on Saturday, February 27.
Then, on February 25 in Transcarpathia, near the village of Vyshka on Mount Krasiya, two tourists were injured while skiing. The rescuers provided them with medical assistance and evacuated them from the slope.
In the Lviv region, on the Trostyan mountain ski slope, rescuers helped an injured skier. During skating, a 66-year-old Kiev woman injured her right leg. The rescuers provided pre-medical assistance to the victim and lowered her to the foot of the mountain, where she was handed over to the doctors.
It is noted that in the Mizhgirya region of Transcarpathia, at the foot of the Magura-Zhide and Gemba mountains and the adjacent territories and slopes, the search continues for a tourist from Kiev, who on February 13 got lost while skiing.
