The Covishield and Comirnaty vaccine (Pfizer) was tested for emergency use by the Center of Competence.

On February 22, the state center of experts of the Ministry of Health completed a review of the coronavirus vaccines from the manufacturers AstraZeneca and Pfizer. This is reported on the site of the center.

“The GEC has carried out a review of two vaccines: Covishield, produced by Serum Institute (India) and Comirnaty from Pfizer (Belgium), under emergency use obligations,” said center director Mikhail Babenko.

The center’s specialists provided expert opinions within five business days. Vaccine registration requests under the new procedure of obligations for emergency use were received by the GEC on February 15 and 16.

Also in the GEC there is an application for registration of the Coronavac vaccine from the Chinese company Sinovac.

We will remember, on the eve of Ukraine delivered 500 thousand doses of the CoviShield vaccine. It is with this drug that vaccination begins today.
