Mediaholding News LLC was registered on February 18
The authorized capital of the media holding is 100 hryvnias; each of the company’s co-founders “contributed” 1 hryvnia, Minister Alexander Tkachenko explained.
TV channels 112 Ukraine, ZIK and NewsOne have created a new company called Mediaholding News to circumvent the sanctions imposed by the National Security and Defense Council. The new media holding was created by 100 citizens, Culture Minister Alexander Tkachenko said on his Telegram channel on Tuesday, February 23.
According to him, “the forbidden” Medvedchuk troika “, calling itself Mediaholding Novosti, donned a new mask.
The minister clarified that the company was registered on February 18, two weeks after the imposition of sanctions. The authorized capital of the media holding company is 100 hryvnias, each of the company’s co-founders “contributed” 1 hryvnia.
Tkachenko suggested that they are now looking for legal ways “to relaunch the Kremlin propaganda broadcast in our information space.”
“However, no matter how many new LLCs you make for 100 hryvnias, the essence does not change and therefore the state’s attention to your activities,” Tkachenko summarized.
According to YouControl, Taras Kozak, owner of 112 Ukraine TV channels, ZIK and NewsOne, is not among the co-founders of the new media holding company. The new company is headed by Victor Frolov.
We will recall, on February 2, that President Volodymyr Zelensky imposed sanctions for five years against the people’s deputy Taras Kozak and three television channels: 112 Ukraine, ZIK and NewsOne.
In turn, the television channels that have been sanctioned consider this decision as a “political punishment” and have presented lawsuits before the Supreme Court.
And the National Council said the licenses of ZIK and 112 Ukrainian TV channels would be canceled through the court.
