In Kharkov, on Monday night, February 22, a man was shot dead in the middle of the street.
The fact was confirmed on the website of the press service of the General Directorate of National Police in the region. It is specified that the crime was committed in the new Ultra LCD building on Otakar Yarosh lane.
According to the local Telegram channel “TRUKHA”, preliminarily, the man died as a result of a gunshot to the head. The network named the name of the deceased: supposedly it is a certain Boris B.
The telegram channel “Kharkov 1654” writes that the murder took place around 7:30 pm on the steps of the supermarket building.
An operational plan “Sirena” was announced in the city, law enforcement officers are looking for criminals.
The local Telegram channel writes that the suspects had previously fled in two cars: a white Audi with a black roof and a Scoda Suberb.
“Suspilne” with reference to the director of the Viktor Zabashtu Medical Center reports that an ambulance was called to the scene at 7:40 p.m. Doctors arrived three minutes later, but they only had to declare death.
“A gunshot wound to the head,” Zabashta said. He confirmed that the victim is a young man.
The head of the Investigation Department, Sergei Chyzh, said at the scene that the victim was identified as a resident of the city of Kharkov in 1981, reports mediaport.ua. He did not give a specific name, but according to Newsroom, we are talking about a certain Boris B.
“There was a conflict between the victim and the assailant. The assailant pulled out a gun and shot in the head area. Except for the victim, no one was injured. The investigation established a single shot,” Chizh said.
According to him, “the identity of the culprit has really been established.” Several versions of what happened are being elaborated, one of them is a conflict over a monetary debt.
At approximately 23:00 on the Telegram channel “TRUKHA” it was reported that the suspect was allegedly arrested in a suburb of Kharkov. The police do not yet have data on this.
According to the TRUKHA Kharkiv community, the killer used a traumatic pistol and had a conflict with the victim (born 1981) over money. The Telegram channel also named the name of a possible suspect: one Chepurnykh.
Previously, the man had been charged in a high-profile case, linked to “clashes” in the market for trading gold products.

Alexander Chepurnykh is known in Kharkov as the owner of the private company “Panther”, which is engaged in the production and sale of jewelry with precious and semi-precious stones, writes “Apostrophe”.
In 2006, he accused the head of trial control of extorting a bribe for branded jewelry made by his firm. Chepurnykh allegedly tried to get involved in the delivery of jewelry smuggled from Italy, but he refused.
Soon Chepurnykh was arrested by the tax police on suspicion of non-payment of excise duties.
