Zelensky announced “difficult” decisions after the meeting.

The agenda for today’s NSDC meeting was not made public, but the Presidency announced its intention to eliminate the threats, the solution of which was long postponed for political reasons.

As Zelensky emphasized, these threats have become “time bombs” and require “tough” decisions, in accordance with the Constitution and legislation of Ukraine.

At an NSDC meeting you can impose sanctions on Medvedchuk’s business

A source close to the National Security and Defense Council told the newspaper that today the issue of imposing sanctions against the PrykarpatZapadtrans company can be submitted for consideration.

This structure operates a section of the Samara-Western Direction pipeline. The owners of the companies are linked to the deputy of the Opposition Platform – For life Viktor Medvedchuk.

According to the source, sanctions are also likely to be imposed on other Medvedchuk business chains.

It should be noted that during the last meeting of the National Security and Defense Council, sanctions were introduced against Viktor Medvedchuk’s ally, MP Taras Kozak. This led to the closure of three of its television channels: “112 Ukraine”, NewsOne and ZIK.

Poroshenko said about the threat of sanctions to the channel “Pryamaya”

The leader of the European Solidarity party, Petro Poroshenko, bought the Pryamoy television channel on February 18. According to him, this decision was associated with the risk of closing the channel by decision of the authorities.

According to Poroshenko, he received information from various sources about the imposition of sanctions against former member of the “Party of Regions” Vladimir Makeyenko, now a former owner of the television channel.

On February 18, during a telephone conversation, Makeyenko asked to protect the channel and on the same day Petro Poroshenko signed an agreement on his purchase. The new owner of “Pryamogo” was Prime Asset Capital, which is 100% owned by Poroshenko.

In addition, the head of European Solidarity personally addressed Volodymyr Zelenskyy, recalling the attempt by former president Viktor Yanukovych to shut down Channel 5.

“Vladimir Alexandrovich, tomorrow at the NSDC you can impose sanctions against the terrorist Poroshenko. But I strongly recommend that you look closely at how Yanukovych ended, who tried to shut down Channel 5 so hard. I’ll tell you: it ended badly,” Poroshenko said.
