In the Odessa region, SBU counterintelligence officers detained the commander of a reconnaissance and sabotage group of one of the “LPR” units. This was announced by the SBU press center.

“According to the investigation, a native of the Lugansk region in 2014 participated in the seizure of the SBU Directorate in the Lugansk region and provided his” protection, “the message says.

The accused is reported to have subsequently participated in hostilities against ATO / JFO forces as part of the so-called “3rd Stanichno-Lugansk Battalion of DSHB Airborne Forces” as commander of a reconnaissance and sabotage group.

The attacker was arrested upon arrival in the territory controlled by the Ukrainian authorities to carry out reconnaissance of the Ukrainian military installations.

A citizen of Ukraine was informed of the suspicion of having committed a crime under Part 1 of art. 258-3 (participation in a terrorist group or terrorist organization) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, and a preventive measure was chosen in the form of arrest.

It was previously reported that SBU counterintelligence officers exposed two Ukrainian nationals who were recruited by the Russian FSB.
