Today ended the official visit of the Ukrainian delegation led by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to the United Arab Emirates.

The world’s tallest skyscraper, the Burj Khalifa, was lit up in the colors of the Ukrainian flag during the departure of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky from the United Arab Emirates. This was reported by President Julia Mendel’s press secretary on Facebook.

Ukrainian Interior Minister Arsen Avakov noted that official negotiations between Ukraine and the UAE ended today and the illumination of the Emirates skyscraper showed Ukraine a sign of respect.

Zelensky is on an official visit to the United Arab Emirates from February 13-15. During the visit, the Ukrainian delegation signed a series of memoranda and contracts for a total amount of $ 3 billion.

February 14 Zelensky discussed trade, economic and investment cooperation with the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the United Arab Emirates Armed Forces, Sheikh Muhammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Parties signed a series of bilateral documents, in particular: a protocol to amend the agreement between the government of Ukraine and the government of the United Arab Emirates to avoid double taxation and a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine and the State Office UAE Minister of Food and Water Security.

In addition, memoranda were signed with the Abu Dhabi Mubadala investment fund, which provides for the participation of representatives of the UAE in the privatization program of state property in Ukraine. The parties also signed documents in the military and agricultural spheres, according to the Office of the President of Ukraine.

Burj Khalifa is an 828 m high skyscraper in Dubai, consisting of 162 floors. Today it is the tallest building on the planet. In 2020, it was already highlighted with the colors of the Ukrainian flag on Ukraine’s Independence Day.
