The Ministry of Education offered “distance education” for school children due to bad weather conditions

Due to difficult weather conditions and low air temperatures, the Ministry of Education and Science (MES) recommended that educational institutions consider the possibility of distance education.

This is stated on the website of the Ministry of Education and Science. The corresponding letter was sent to the heads of departments and administrations for education and science of the regional state administrations of the city of Kiev and to the heads of institutions of general secondary education.

“We ask you to consider the possibility of organizing the training of students using distance education technologies, Internet resources; carry out explanatory work among the participants in the educational process on the prevention of hypothermia, security measures, etc.” – says the document.

The Ministry of Education and Science recalled that in case of extreme weather conditions, as well as in emergency situations, educational institutions can independently make decisions about the temporary suspension of students’ education.

Previously, by decision of the local authorities of Kiev, schools and kindergartens were closed due to bad weather. Educational institutions were closed on Thursday, February 11 and Friday, February 12.

According to OBOZREVATEL, heavy frosts and snow storms are approaching Ukraine, and the air temperature may drop to -30 degrees.
