In connection with the fire, criminal proceedings have been opened. Attorney General Irina Venediktova said that three of the four dead were connected to a ventilator and that the fourth victim was a 26-year-old anesthesiologist, Olga Glyva.
On February 4, an official responsible for the technogenic and fire-fighting status of the regional hospital was arrested.
February 5 is declared a day of mourning in the Zaporozhye region.
