Good conversation with Dmitry Kuleba – Borrel

The head of EU diplomacy will leave for Russia, where he intends to declare the EU’s support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and demand the implementation of the Minsk agreements.

Before his visit to Russia, the High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, had a telephone conversation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmitry Kuleba. Borrell called the conversation “good.” He wrote about this on his Twitter.

“A good phone conversation with Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba to inform him about my upcoming trip to Russia,” Borrell said.

He added that during his visit to Moscow he would convey “the immutable position of the EU in support of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine.

Borrell is also going to call for the full implementation of the Minsk agreements.

Borrell will pay his first visit to Russia as head of EU diplomacy from February 4-6.

Borrell was previously reported to have reminded Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky that the EU is not an ATM.
