Russia will hold military exercises
The 20th Combined Arms Army is considered one of the largest formations of the Russian Armed Forces.
More than 800 servicemen and about 200 units of military equipment participated in the maneuvers carried out by the 20th Combined Arms Army of the Western Military District of the Russian Federation, reports Russian Interfax.
According to the concept of the exercises, the simulated enemy was able to imperceptibly avoid the main part of the group of combined arms troops in the Voronezh region.
The main objective of the exercises is to verify that the units are ready to repel a covert attack from the “enemy” and to make decisions to destroy the dominant forces, the message says.
The 20th Combined Arms Army is considered one of the largest formations in the RF Armed Forces. The army headquarters are located in Voronezh, which is not far from the border with Ukraine.
