Protests in Moscow
Closing recommendations are provided for cafes and shops located 100 meters from Lubyanka.
Moscow authorities recommended closing shops and cafes in the city center on January 31 in connection with pending demonstrations in support of Alexei Navalny. Reported by RBC.
Moscow’s Deputy Mayor, Alexei Nemeryuk, stressed that these measures are advisory in nature. According to him, the GUM, TSUM and Okhotny Ryad shopping center decided to close this day on their own initiative.
In addition, recommendations were given to close those institutions that are within a 100 meter radius of the Lubyanka. After 7:00 p.m. they may resume work.
It was previously reported that 20 criminal cases were opened in regions of Russia following massive protests in support of opposition leader Alexei Navalny.
